  1. That answers my question about the dimensions 🙂 And I see you are already sold on the RipCut, which is so awesome. I like how you can duplicate parts exactly if you cut them all before making adjustments to the guide.

  2. I saw your photos on facebook. You’re doing great. I can’t post about the bed on facebook because it’s a surprise for my daughter and grand daughter. They’re in Florida at JAX NAS but should be moving back to Georgia this summer. My 140 tooth blade got dull after about 20 long cuts and overheated while using my Kreg Rip guide. The cut came out very wavy (about 1/2″ variance). Bought a new Freud 60 tooth and so far it cuts MDF like butter. Last year I made my grand daughter a “Kitchen Helper” it’s a direct rip-off of one on Amazon. I can send you the Sketchup file if you want it. I can’t believe we both have roadracing avatars on facebook. And I see you have a Ridgeline! My son-in-law has one. Good luck. It looks like you’ll be done in a few days.

    1. Yeah I was thinking the same thing when I saw your avatar. I haven’t been to the track since last year, but now that the weather is warming up, I want to go riding. I love the Ridgeline. I finally paid it off and it only has 80K miles, so I am hoping it will provide many years of being a good (way over engineered) vehicle.

I bought a 140 tooth blade at first and it was so slow the wood would burn and I had to apply too much pressure, resulting in wavy cuts. So I went back to my 24 tooth construction blade and it cuts faster than I can push it, without any chipping or rough cuts. I think if this were plywood it might splinter. I wish I could surprise my daughter, but I have to sometimes justify why I need to go out in the garage. I am hoping to mask her from seeing the test builds and I think it will add some wow factor.
